L’Oreal True Match Concealer is one of the most popular concealers on the market, but does it live up to the hype? I personally used it daily as part of my makeup routine and think it’s an excellent product! In this L’Oreal True Match Concealer review, I’m going to tell you all about the things I love and dislike about this product, as well as share with you how to best use this concealer to get gorgeous results! So let’s begin!
L’Oreal True Match Concealer Key Features
The key features of L’oreal’s True Match Concealer are its skin tone matching capabilities, buildable coverage and its affordability. It is one of the best in this category and is worth trying out if you have not yet done so.
It comes with a wide range of shades, which are divided into different undertones: neutral, cool and warm. The concealer does not contain any SPF but it does have some light reflecting pigments for an instant glow.
The applicator brush has a soft tapered edge to make it easy to apply in the inner corner of your eyes or on smaller blemishes. The product blends well on most skin types and lasts throughout the day without getting patchy or caky.
Size, Packaging & Applicator
I have always been a big fan of L’oreal products, so when I found out about their newest concealer release, I was very eager to try it. The packaging is a nice size and shape for traveling, but it does not come with a brush or applicator which can be inconvenient. It blends well into my skin and doesn’t leave any creases or lines under my eyes like some other products do.
I find that it also gives me enough coverage without looking cakey. My only complaint would be that is doesn’t last as long on my skin as other concealers do. Overall, this is a great product if you want something lightweight and easy to apply!
My Experience with L’Oreal True Match Concealer
I have been using L’Oreal True Match Concealer for a few weeks now and I am loving it. It is lightweight and blends out seamlessly on my skin. I use it to cover any imperfections, redness, and blemishes that I may have. The coverage is good and lasts all day. A little goes a long way so this concealer will last you awhile!
Plus, it has SPF in it which is really helpful for those days when you want to wear minimal makeup but still want protection from the sun. It also has Vitamin E which helps promote collagen production and help reduce dark circles. I love the feel of this product on my skin- it doesn’t feel heavy or sticky at all. It feels very light weight and smooth when applied.
I usually apply this with a beauty blender to get an even application but sometimes I just use my fingers if I need less coverage (because there are two different types of formulas). Another thing I love about this product is how affordable it is- usually drugstore products are cheaper than high end ones, yet do not perform as well as high end brands; however, with L’oreal, you can get high quality makeup at an affordable price!
Application Before and After
I always have a tough time finding concealers that match my skin tone, and it feels like I either find one that’s too light or too dark. So, when I was asked if I wanted to try out L’oreal’s True Match Concealer, I jumped at the opportunity. The L’oreal concealer is available in 18 shades and promises to be long-lasting with a non-oily finish.
The consistency of this concealer is different from what I typically use because it’s a little thicker than most liquid concealers. It also has a creamy texture which sets in about 15 seconds and starts to dry down within 30 seconds. What’s cool is that once it dries down, you can’t feel it on your skin so you know for sure that the product won’t crease.
Price & Where to Buy
The cost of L’oreal True Match concealer ranges from $8.99 to $13.99, depending on where you buy it from. I purchase mine at Ulta, which is $10.00 per package (at time of writing). I have tried other concealers in the past and this one is by far my favorite! The coverage is amazing and a little goes a long way with this product. I also love that it doesn’t cake up like some other brands do after a few hours of wear. It stays put!
After wearing for 8-10 hours without touch-ups, there was barely any transfer onto clothes or skin. You’ll be able to get away with using less than most competitors, too! One bottle lasts me about three months when applied daily for work. And if you’re looking for natural makeup application, L’oreal has got you covered here as well in addition to their full line of foundation options there’s a concealer primer option as well!
Other L’Oreal Concealers
1. L’Oreal Paris Infallible Concealer
I have been using L’Oreal Paris Infallible Concealer for about a month now and have to say it is one of my favorite products. I have been testing out the shade Warm Nude, which is an excellent match for my skin tone. The packaging is simple and sleek, with a clear top making it easy to see when you need to buy more. The formula blends seamlessly into my skin and matches my skin color perfectly.
It also lasts all day without any creasing or smudging. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a new concealer! The only downside is that it may not be suited for those with dry skin, as it can be quite drying.
2. True Match Crayon Concealer
The L’oreal True Match Crayon Concealer is a dual-ended, twist up crayon with a concealer on one end and a highlighter on the other. It has a creamy texture that blends nicely for medium coverage, and is available in 16 shades. I find it moisturizing, long-lasting, buildable and easily blend able. It doesn’t dry out my skin or emphasize any of my pores.
I also love the highlighter side of this concealer because it brightens up under eyes for those days when you want to look more awake and refreshed. Overall, the L’oreal True Match Crayon Concealer delivers on its promise to be an all-in-one product. It does what it sets out to do: conceal blemishes and flaws without looking cakey and dry.
3. Age Perfect Hydrating Concealer
The Age Perfect Hydrating Concealers are a new product that has recently been released by L’Oréal Paris. With a healthy dose of hydration, these concealers claim to provide a long-lasting, matte finish and full coverage. The formula is designed to be creamy and blend able so it can cover any area without caking or looking cakey. It also contains SPF 15 for added protection from the sun. As with all L’Oréal products, this one is cruelty-free and will not harm animals in any way. For more details on this product, read our full review below!
Alternatives to L’Oreal True Match Concealer
If you have oily skin, try Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation + Concealers, as it contains anti-shine agents to help control oil production. What’s more, the packaging is lightweight and fits easily into your purse or makeup bag for on-the-go touchups.
1. Sephora Best Skin Ever
We all know that Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer is one of Sephora’s best-selling concealers. But after hearing rave reviews about L’oreal’s True Match Concealers, I was curious to try them for myself. Was it worth the hype? Keep reading to find out! The first thing I noticed when applying this product was how smooth and creamy it felt on my skin. The texture is so soft and feels almost like silk when blended in with my fingers.
It also has a matte finish which means less creasing throughout the day (although some people may prefer a dewy look). When using this product on blemishes, don’t forget to apply powder afterwards or you’ll be stuck with an oily finish. The shade selection ranges from light to dark so there should be something for everyone! My only complaint is that these concealers are pricey at $13 a tube but they’re definitely worth checking out if you want a quality product without breaking the bank.
2. Dermablend Quick Fix Concealer
The Dermablend Quick Fix Concealer is a full coverage concealer that is designed to cover up tattoos, birthmarks, and other skin discolorations. The formula is said to be creamy and pigmented, yet buildable. This concealer also does not crease, feather or settle into fine lines as it dries. Finally, this product promises to last for up to 16 hours without fading or caking.
Dermablend has always been one of my favorite brands for quality concealers so I had high hopes for this one too. I did notice that the packaging was similar to their other products which was nice because it made me think of how well-thought out, they were when designing it.
3. NYX Born to Glow
NYX Born to Glow is a lightweight, full-coverage concealer that suits all skin tones. It can be used as an under-eye concealer or to cover any blemishes. I would recommend this product for those with dry skin since it is moisturizing and long-lasting. However, those with oily skin may find that it starts to break down during the day, especially if you are prone to breakouts. Nonetheless, this is a great product for its price!
